Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Firehouse Subs Shift Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and lead our team to success. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food service management experience, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves managing staff, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring efficient restaurant performance during each shift.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and food handling to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling.
  • Oversee inventory control, including stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
  • Lead staff training, development, and scheduling to maintain a motivated and efficient team.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
  • Monitor restaurant cleanliness, organization, and safety procedures throughout the shift.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with food production during peak hours and support kitchen management as needed.
  • Conduct interviewing and hiring of new team members to build a strong workforce.
  • Manage budgeting, labor costs, and operational expenses in collaboration with upper management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food service management or restaurant supervision, preferably in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
  • Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with prior staff training, team management, and supervising experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
  • Ability to manage inventory control, budgeting, and operational tasks efficiently.
  • Previous experience in hospitality management or culinary roles is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food handling and restaurant operations.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if needed; shift management experience is preferred. Job Type: Part-time
