Armed Security Officer

SMITH PROTECTIVE SERVICES, INC. is seeking highly motivated, vigilant, and dedicated security officers who have a Commissioned Security License through the Texas Private Security Bureau for positions throughout the Austin Metropolitan area.

APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Eligible to work in the United States of America.
• Have a valid Texas driver's license.
• Have a valid Commissioned Security License.
• Must be 25 years of age or older.
• Must have no moving violations in the last three years.
• Must have a working telephone.
• Must have approved firearm and duty gear at the time of hire.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Be willing to submit to a physical and drug screen.
• Agree to an in-depth background check including but not limited to criminal history, work performance, and character references.

THE MAJOR DUTIES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

• Provide safety and security at all client sites.
• Patrol and perform overwatches for active threats.
• Inspect and check to ensure doors and gates are secured and continuously locked.
• Respond to and investigate calls from clients concerning security risks.
• Prepare detailed incident reporting of factual information.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Exhibit punctuality and dependability in performing required duty assignments.
• Adhere to professional ethical standards in relationship with staff and clients.
