Job Summary:
In this role, you will assist the Store Manager in leading the retail team and overseeing day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate for this job shines brightly when it comes to setting a good example and keeping coworkers motivated. He/she will foster a culture of teamwork and camaraderie with communication being at the forefront of team building. The Retail Assistant Manager who specializes in coaching and training employees in sales techniques and product education. In this role, you will mentor and develop our sales team to increase the basket averages and help the company meet its sales goals. You will play a crucial role in creating an engaging and educational environment for both employees and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and promote a healthy team culture where individual employees have the capacity and feel empowered to work autonomously while striving to meet a common collaborative goal

Execute daily operations with meticulous attention to detail
Work closely with all team members to ensure every customer interaction is met with an exceptional level of service and product knowledge, enhancing overall customer satisfaction
Collaborate with the Store Manager to train and mentor staff, fostering a high-performing team culture that thrives on adaptability and resilience
Implement rigorous inventory control practices to minimize shrinkage
Oversee stringent cash handling procedures, meticulously managing registers, reconciling daily transactions, and ensuring accuracy and security
Collaborate with management to set and exceed sales targets, analyzing performance metrics, and implementing strategies for consistent growth
Drive sales by setting challenging targets, analyzing performance data, and implementing strategies to achieve and exceed goals
Uphold the highest standards of compliance with local and state regulations, guaranteeing the dispensary's ethical and legal operations
Mediate and resolve customer/employee concerns and conflicts with the highest level of professionalism, defusing challenging situations
Comply with all HR policies and employee handbook; maintain detailed documentation of all HR processes
Regularly evaluate retail budtenders to provide actionable feedback that fosters their professional growth and enhances their customer service and sales skills
Partner with the Store Manager to effectively communicate and delegate goals, tasks, and responsibilities to the team to ensure a smooth operational flow

Other Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Sales Performance Coach and other members of management to mentor and support team members in their career development and sales strategies.
Collaborate with Sales Performance Coach and other members of management to develop and execute strategies to increase the basket average and drive sales growth.
Ensure that all staff members are knowledgeable about product offerings and can provide excellent customer service.
Assist customers in selecting products by providing accurate information and guidance.
Assist the Retail Manager in supervising daily operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Foster a positive team culture that encourages collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Address employee performance issues promptly and effectively.
Support inventory control processes, ensuring that products are stocked and displayed appropriately.
Open and/or close store.
Assist with any customer service issues.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Valid State-Issued Driver's License.
21 years of age or older.
Valid food handlers permit.
Satisfactory Background check
Minimum of 2 years of retail management experience
2-3 years in retail/hospitality management
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office

High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous food service or retail experience (preferred)
Previous industry experience (preferred)
Minimum 21 years of age
Maintain eligibility to work in the Cannabis Industry
Physical Requirements:
Ability to generally stand, bend, walk, stoop, and kneel for prolonged periods, and sit occasionally.
Comfortable standing, bending, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours at a time.
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds safely and properly.
Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment.
Must be able to workdays, nights, holidays and weekends.
Shift:
Be in office/on-site up to fifty (50) hours per week
