Overview
The Data Integration Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data

integration solutions with a focus on EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) for healthcare

applications. This role involves implementing ETL processes, managing data pipelines, ensuring

data quality, and generating reports to support business intelligence and compliance with

healthcare standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains data integration solutions that provide a seamless flow of data

between various systems and databases.

  • Manages the data analysis activities and integrating disparate systems.
  • Solves problems with extensive programming skills and abilities in multiple coding

languages and frameworks.

  • Understands the lifecycle of entire applications, web services and related databases.
  • Configures and manages EDI systems for processing healthcare transactions, including

claims, eligibility, and patient information.

  • Monitors data quality and performs data validation to ensure accuracy and consistency in

healthcare data integration.

  • Implements data cleansing and transformation processes to maintain data integrity across

systems.

  • Experiences troubleshooting and solving problems with custom developed applications and

vendor delivered applications.

  • Responsible for ensuring code (peer) reviews are conducted for all code changes.
  • Tests EDI transactions with trading partners and other certification authorities as needed for

compliance with the state and/or federal government regulations.

  • Creates and maintains documentation for all projects and participate in team meetings,

conferences and problem solving discussions.

  • Works closely with business analysts, healthcare providers, and IT teams to understand data

integration and EDI requirements.

Secondary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Recommends improvements to existing data integration and EDI processes to enhance

efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Implements data security measures to protect sensitive healthcare information during

integration and EDI processes.

  • Documents application configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for reference and training purposes.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or

related field with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data

integration, including hands-on experience with ETL processes and data

pipelines. Experience in data warehousing, data modeling, and SQLbased querying. Demonstrated experience in report development and

data analysis.

Special Skills, Licenses and
Certifications
Proficiency in SQL, and experience with programming languages such

as Python, Java, or C# for data manipulation and integration tasks.

Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems and

standards, particularly in a healthcare context, is beneficial. Ability to

develop and generate reports with knowledge of reporting tools such as

SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), Power BI, and Tableau.

Experience with version control systems such as Git or TFS. Relevant

certifications in programming languages or development tools are a

plus.

Work Environment And Physical Demands
More than 80% of work time is spent in front of a computer monitor.

May be required to lift, carry, or move equipment of varying size,

weighing up to 50 lbs. May be required to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, or

work in other non-standing and non-sitting positions to install

cabling, systems hardware, and other related equipment.

HIRING RANGE:
$103, $133,977.94
