We are seeking a skilled, team-oriented
Quality Assurance Supervisor
, reporting to the Manager of Quality Assurance. This position is required to work on-site in our Glenview, IL office most days. Everyone receives 3 flexible remote days per month and 6 additional Friday PTO days each year
The
Quality Assurance Supervisor
is responsible for the delegation of tasks, coaching and training a team of Quality Assurance Analysts in the testing of various web applications, administration systems, and insurance products. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring projects are on-time and bug free. They should be able to identify process improvement opportunities, provide on-going feedback on what is going well as well as areas for improvement/growth for each analyst. The ability to make independent decisions, multi-task and prioritize tasks, and work well with other internal departments to meet company goals is key.
Major Responsibilities
- Supervise Quality Assurance Analysts that execute and validate test cases to ensure business requirements, functional and navigational requirements are met.
- Lead and supervise the team assuring quality and quantity standards are met or exceeded.
- Conduct and participate in test plan inspections, document issues, and support resolution of those projects.
- Perform data analysis of automated or manual executed test cases to ensure data structure integrity and carry out validation procedures to ensure that all system modifications meet end-user requirements and quality standards.
- Responsible for defect identification, documentation, communication and following through to resolution according to business requirements.
- As a member of the project team, partner with the developers in verification and validation of defects in new and existing applications and assist in providing/guiding analysts in end-to-end testing.
- As a member of the project team, work directly with the Project Manager/Business Analyst to validate key business requirements and prepare reports on testing progress. Effectively communicate testing status to project team.
- Be engaged in company goals and projects, active in identifying and implementing improvements, pro-active in resolving issues and seeking opportunities for development for both themselves and their team.
- Ability to read, interpret and apply policy/contract language to provide leadership in how to build and maintain the product in our administration systems.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of supervisory experience
- Knowledge of health and life insurance products a plus
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible in a fast-paced working environment
- Performs workflow analysis. Identifies and recommends potential process improvements
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills with a penchant for anticipating and identifying issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Self-starter
- Critical thinking essential for complete test combinations and developing a comprehensive test plan
