Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic logistics team. This role involves handling inventory, operating heavy equipment, and supporting efficient warehouse distribution processes. The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse experience, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment safely. This position offers opportunities for growth within warehouse management and distribution operations, contributing to the seamless flow of goods from receipt to shipment.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, tracking, and documentation using RF scanners and warehouse management systems such as AS400.
- Operate heavy equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials safely within the warehouse.
- Perform order picking, packing, and fulfillment tasks to ensure timely processing of customer orders.
- Support shipping & receiving activities by preparing goods for shipment and verifying incoming deliveries against purchase orders.
- Assist with stocking shelves and organizing inventory in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Conduct materials handling tasks involving heavy lifting and mechanical knowledge for efficient movement of goods.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
- Support warehouse supervision in daily operations and process improvements related to warehouse distribution and management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment or manufacturing setting preferred.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems, RF scanners, AS400, and warehouse management systems.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers; certification preferred but not required.
- Mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment is a plus.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse operations.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks for extended periods.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and order fulfillment processes.
- Prior experience with shipping & receiving, stock management, or construction-related logistics is advantageous. This position is integral to maintaining efficient warehouse operations through effective inventory management and safe handling of materials. Pay: From $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 per week
