Plumber - FT

Essential Responsibilities:

• Installs and maintains plumbing fixtures and piping systems for steam, water, gas, air, vacuum, oxygen and other medical gases, backflow preventors,etc., according to standards.
• Provides for the continual inspection and testing of the plumbing systems.
• Troubleshoots, problem solves and works independently.
• Provides inspection reports and projects time frames and repair estimates to management.
• Performs routine maintenance and other functions as needed and/or requested.
• Maintain on-call status and able to respond to urgent issues, emergencies, or operational needs outside of regularly scheduled business hours. This can include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.
• Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

• Completion of a recognized journeyman program

Required License/Certifications/Registrations

• Current licensure as a Licensed Journeyman Plumber in the State of Kansas
• Backflow Preventer certification

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Education and Experience

• Construction background
• Medical gases education or experience

Preferred License/Certifications/Registrations

• Medical gas certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of plumbing codes and ordinances.
• Knowledge of piping, fixtures and equipment associated with the plumbing trade
• Knowledge of basic maintenance
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
• Commercial plumbing and fire codes

• Heavy Work: Occasionally exerting up to 100 lbs - constantly exerting up to 20 lbs. 51-75% of the day may be standing or walking.
