Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Prior experience in fine dining, catering, or the food industry is highly valued, along with excellent knife skills and menu planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Assist with meal preparation, plating, and presentation to ensure visual appeal
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
• Handle food safely and responsibly, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
• Support kitchen staff during busy periods, ensuring timely service
• Follow portion control guidelines to minimize waste and optimize efficiency
• Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
• Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of quality and customer satisfaction

Skills

• Experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
• Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling
• Fine dining experience preferred, with an emphasis on presentation and quality
• Proficiency in food safety practices and sanitation standards
• Excellent knife skills and culinary techniques
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience within the food service industry is highly desirable

Pay: $17.60-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 44 per week
