Our challenge
We are seeking an experienced
Python Developer
with over 7 years of professional expertise to build, enhance, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong object-oriented design skills, extensive experience with data processing frameworks, and a good understanding of banking domain concepts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative financial solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD$100k -CAD$110k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Python applications, including microservices and APIs.
- Implement object-oriented solutions utilizing design patterns to ensure scalable and maintainable code.
- Work with data processing frameworks such as
Pandas
and
NumPy
for data manipulation and analysis. - Develop and optimize RESTful APIs, microservices, and message-driven architectures leveraging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend services with databases and external systems.
- Design and optimize database schemas for SQL and NoSQL databases including
PostgreSQL
and
MongoDB
. - Contribute to cloud-based deployment strategies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization using
Docker
and
Kubernetes
. - Ensure adherence to security standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in financial services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of
7+ years
in Python development. - Deep understanding of
object-oriented programming
and key design patterns. - Proficiency with
Pandas

NumPy
, and data processing libraries/frameworks. - Hands-on experience developing
RESTful APIs

). - Familiarity with
