We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and outgoing individual with a background in life sciences or biomedical sciences to join our team as a Business Development Representative (BDR). In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building relationships with prospective customers, and driving growth by connecting scientists with the tools they need to advance their research. Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Lead Generation
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities using databases (e.g., PubMed, NIH RePORTER, SciLeads), institutional websites, referrals, and social networks.
- Monitor grant awards and public tenders to uncover potential customers with funding for capital equipment aligned with Scintica's portfolio.
Outreach & Engagement
- Initiate contact with prospective customers via email, phone, and social media to introduce Scintica's solutions.
- Conduct virtual presentations and, when required, support on-site demonstrations alongside Product Managers.
- Represent Scintica at trade shows, conferences, and workshops to generate leads and strengthen brand presence

Collaboration & Sales Support
- Partner with Territory Sales Managers and Product Managers to respond to inquiries, prepare quotes, and manage leads from conferences, exhibitions, and digital channels.
- Document interactions in the CRM system, track opportunities, and schedule timely follow-ups.
- Assist in coordinating on-site meetings and product demonstrations.
- Market Intelligence & Positioning
- Research and update competitive landscape insights to effectively position Scintica's solutions.
- Maintain and update databases (e.g., Mendeley) with publications citing equipment from Scintica's partners.
- Contribute to scientific content creation and distribution across Scintica's website and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook).
Relationship Building
- Develop and nurture strong customer relationships, ensuring scientists feel supported in adopting new technologies.
- Understand customer priorities (e.g., upcoming studies, funding deadlines) to help prioritize solutions and support.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Degree in life sciences, biomedical sciences, engineering, cellular/molecular biology, or related field.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage scientists as peers.
- Confident in delivering complex information to diverse audiences.
- Highly organized, process-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in CRM systems and digital communication tools.
- Positive, professional attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
- Attention to detail and strong time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with preclinical imaging systems.
- Knowledge of rodent anatomy and physiology.
- Familiarity with small animal practices and techniques (e.g., anaesthesia, animal care).
- Previous experience in sales, business development, or customer success.
- Additional language skills.
