Costing Assistant

Position: Costing Assistant

NutraLab Canada Corporation is one of Canada's premier contract manufacturers of natural health supplements. We are seeking a detail-oriented Costing Assistant to support product costing, financial analysis, and purchasing-related activities. This role works closely with Sales, Purchasing, Finance, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to ensure accurate product costs, pricing support, and smooth operational execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update product costing including raw materials, packaging, labour, freight, duties, and landed costs
• Assist with cost analysis and margin calculations to support sales pricing and profitability
• Monitor purchase price variances and investigate cost changes
• Support purchasing activities such as purchase order tracking and cost verification
• Coordinate with Sales to validate pricing, promotions, and cost assumptions
• Work with Finance on invoice matching, accruals, and cost allocation
• Coordinate with Logistics to track freight costs and delivery-related expenses
• Liaise with Warehouse to reconcile inventory receipts, adjustments, and cost discrepancies
• Maintain accurate records for suppliers, pricing, contracts, and cost changes
• Prepare reports related to costs, margins, inventory valuation, and cost performance

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Supply Chain
• 1–3 years of experience in costing, purchasing, supply chain, or financial analysis
• Understanding of product costing, margins, and basic cost accounting principles
• Strong Excel skills (cost models, formulas, data analysis)
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems is an asset
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Purchasing, Finance, Logistics, and Warehouse
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
