Details

We are seeking a full-time Marketing Manager to help with our growing venture. This role will be based in or near Winnipeg and requires both work-from-home (WFM) and onsite capacities given frequent visits to our location at 692 St. Anne's Rd.

Reporting to both the President and the Director of Operations, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to shape the company's marketing, brand image, and social media presence across all digital platforms, driving both brand awareness and measurable results like website traffic, lead generation, and sales. The role will also be responsible for producing and curating engaging social media content (videos, graphics, and text) for various social media platforms. This role will collaborate on all aspects of traditional, digital, brand, and social media marketing initiatives, managing projects from inception through delivery and post campaign analysis. In addition to the marketing and social media capacities, the role will also assist with logistics management including inventory purchasing, supply sourcing, shopping, pickups and deliveries.

Responsibilities:

  • Gain a deep understanding of The Forge's business, products, and culture to ensure all marketing, brand, and social media activities are in alignment with The Forge's overall business objectives.
  • Develop, manage, and execute the overall digital, brand, and social media marketing strategy, including multi-channel plans for SEO, email, social platforms, and display advertising in consultation with both the President and Director of Operations.
  • Oversee the creation, execution, and optimization of digital marketing campaigns, including content, ad campaigns, and social media content schedules, to ensure a consistent presence.
  • Brainstorm, research, and create a variety of social media content types, including short-form videos (Instagram, TikTok, etc.), images, infographics, and compelling written captions and blog posts. Monitor current social media trends, popular culture, and platform algorithms to inform new content ideas and incorporate them into a content calendar.
  • Capture and edit original photo and video content using relevant software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, etc.).
  • Foster a positive online community by consistently engaging with followers, responding to comments and messages, and initiating conversations.
  • Utilize analytics tools (Instagram Insights, Sprout Social, etc.) to monitor content performance metrics (engagement, reach, shares) and adapt strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Evaluate customer research, market conditions, and competitor data to recommend new platforms and marketing channels.
  • As one of the stewards of the brand you will oversee the ongoing management, control, and enforcement of the company's identity guidelines and brand standards to ensure a consistent appearance and tone across all communications.
  • Review and present KPI's to ensure we are monitoring, measuring and optimizing all communication activities.
  • Manage and optimize expenditure of the monthly marketing budget.
  • Liaison with and oversee external marketing and social media teams/agencies to ensure optimization and ROI of external marketing budget.
  • Be prepared to challenge the conventional thinking when it comes to B2C marketing and bring new innovative and entrepreneurial marketing ideas to The Forge.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned by management, including non-marketing related responsibilities overseeing logistics management, such as inventory purchasing, supply sourcing, shopping, pickups and deliveries.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Marketing or related discipline with 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading and managing marketing and social media across multiple channels.
  • Experience working for a successful independent marketing team/agency, ideally within the food-services industry.
  • Proficiency with digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media, ad platforms, etc.), in addition to experience with SEO and SEM strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, editing and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to showcase a strong understanding of the media landscape both earned and paid.
  • You are both a strategic and creative thinker with exceptional attention to detail in execution and quality assurance.
  • Possess knowledge in analytics and believe measurement and applicable data is a key attribute for effective marketing.
  • Experience in B2C marketing and social media.
  • Thrives in a fast pace, high energy technology-driven environment.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, keen to continuously learn and improve.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and knowledge of adobe creative suite and other marketing programs.

Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
