Personal Support Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality care and assistance to an individuals in her home setting. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in this lady's life through attentive and personalized support.

Duties

• Assist client with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Provide medication administration as prescribed and monitor health status
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment.
• Engage client in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
• Support with errands and transportation as needed for appointments or outings

Skills

• Experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments preferred
• Strong patient care skills with a focus on senior and disability support
• Knowledge of dementia care, hospice care, and working with people with disabilities
• Ability to perform caregiving duties including medication administration and meal preparation
• Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
• Basic cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic environment
• Flexibility to adapt to different client needs and care plans

Must obtain a clear Vulnerable Sector Check.

Five (5) minute walk from De La Savane Metro Station

Position to take place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 to 17:00 / 18:00.
