We're currently seeking an experienced and motivated Dispatcher to coordinate our freight movements, manage driver communication, and ensure on-time deliveries for our clients.

Job Summary:

The Dispatcher plays a key role in load planning, driver communication, and real-time problem-solving. You will be responsible for dispatching shipments, tracking deliveries, troubleshooting delays, and coordinating with both customers and drivers to ensure successful freight execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign loads to company drivers or carrier partners based on location, capacity, and availability
  • Monitor shipments in transit and provide real-time updates to customers and internal teams
  • Communicate effectively with drivers to manage schedules, pickup/drop-offs, and route changes
  • Track freight progress using dispatch software and GPS tools
  • Respond to service issues such as delays, breakdowns, or cancellations
  • Coordinate with Customer Service and Operations to resolve exceptions
  • Ensure drivers have proper documentation and load instructions
  • Maintain accurate logs of dispatch activity and load status

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in dispatching or logistics coordination (FTL, LTL, or intermodal preferred)
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills under pressure
  • Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and TMS platforms
  • Solid knowledge of North American geography and trucking regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings/weekends if needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in logistics is a plus)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
