AM Host/Hostess/Server Assistant

The Hotel Nickel Plate, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is currently accepting applications for an AM host/hostess-server assistant of its restaurant outlet, Derailed. This position is a multi-utilitarian hybrid position of both acting as host/hostess, as well as assisting servers. This role is responsible for greeting and seating guests for the breakfast period, generally needed between 6:30a-11:00a. The Hotel Nickel Plate is a boutique hotel within the Hilton Hotel portfolio. Job Title: Host/Hostess - Server Assistant

Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their designated tables and present menus
- Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries or reservations
- Maintain a clean and organized host/host station
- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
- Assist with taking food and beverage orders when necessary

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred
- Strong hospitality and customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in phone etiquette and handling guest inquiries
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system is a plus
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
