Shell Operator will assist in the day-to-day activities in the Shell Department. Activities will include dipping molds, moving materials,housekeeping, inventory maintenance, wrapping molds, operating the robot, testing materials, mixing slurries, de-waxing molds and other activities as needed.
12-hour shift 6:00pm-6:00am 4 days on / 4 days off rotating
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to continuously stand or sit
- Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift repetitively
WORK ENVIRONMENT
If Proper PPE Equipment is not used and Procedures are not followed:
- Noise level in the work environment can be frequently loud
- May encounter temperatures ranging from 32 degrees to 1,700 degrees around equipment
- May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and dust

We expect and require every employee to work safely
Wash wax molds, attach hardware, and hang molds on the shell line in compliance with the appropriate tech cards.
- Operator will be responsible for the housekeeping of the shell room and de-wax area. This includes the cleaning of tools and slurry pots.
- Remove molds from the conveyor line, prep the molds for de-wax and de-wax molds using the boiler-clave.
- Supply materials to the department as necessary to maintain slurries and sanders.
- Assist in the mixing of slurries per tech cards and directions.
- Wrap molds with KOWool per tech card instructions.
- All other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Must read, comprehend, and follow all safety procedures for the department.
- Must be able to speak and read English.
- Access tech cards via Synchro for Shell and Mold Wrap operations.
- Job requires good organization and time management skills.
- Must be able to comprehend and follow detailed technical instructions.
