Staff Accountant

Murphy, Dougherty & Company, CPAs is a local accounting and consulting firm in Northeastern Pennsylvania. We serve a diverse client base from our office located in Moscow, Pennsylvania.

We are currently seeking accountants who will work in:

• Accounting
• Auditing
• Tax compliance
• Financial consulting.

Auditing involves Governmental Audits, A-133 Single Audits, and Non-Profit Audits. Tax compliance will involve the preparation of income tax returns for Individuals, Corporations and Partnerships.

We are seeking multiple candidates with the following experience:

• 1-3 years
• 3-7 years

The candidates should demonstrate a record of increasing skills and responsibility. The candidates should be a CPA or working toward licensure as a CPA. The individuals should have mastered sound written and verbal communication skills and be able to interact with all levels of firm management, staff and clients. Experience with QuickBooks, Excel and other software packages is a plus.

A Bachelor's degree is required and an Accounting Major is preferred.
