Position Summary
Provide leadership and direction for all production operations at the facility. Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, developing team members, and ensuring the manufacture of high-quality, value-added products. Oversee quality and preventive maintenance procedures, optimize equipment capacity, and drive productivity and efficiency through team capability building. Additionally, this role manages raw materials, production scheduling across all shifts, and the facility's tooling program.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead a strong safety culture by ensuring team awareness, proper training, adherence to procedures, and compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Oversee safety incident investigations and implement effective corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Manage all manufacturing, assembly, and shipping/receiving activities within a collaborative, empowered, and continuous‑improvement‑focused team environment.
- Partner with engineering, supply chain, customer service, and other functions to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals, with attention to SLOB, IFOT, and backorder metrics.
- Produce at Market Rate of Demand (MRD) by managing capacity, line dedication, efficiency, and process improvements that enhance quality and reduce cost.
- Utilize 80/20 principles to identify improvement opportunities that enhance safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and product performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by setting priorities, assigning resources, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Support monthly and annual financial goals by meeting cost, quality, delivery, productivity, and staffing targets.
- Evaluate and implement operational improvements that strengthen safety, quality, and cost effectiveness.
- Set clear expectations and coach team members to improve performance in key operational areas, including safety, scheduling, cost reduction, and attendance.
- Develop talent at all levels through selection, onboarding, goal alignment, coaching, performance management, and skills‑matrix development for hourly employees and supervisors.
- Manage timecards, schedules, and staffing levels to support daily and weekly production goals.
- Foster a winning culture by recognizing team achievements, celebrating key milestones, and communicating progress against business goals.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with manufacturing technology tools.
- Experience leading empowered, high‑volume production teams.
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements and quality systems (e.g., Six Sigma).
- Experience using ERP systems for production orders, purchasing, and item setup.
- Strong project management, organizational, and follow‑through skills.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing tooling programs.
- Background in production control and procurement of operating supplies.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this position, within typical office working conditions. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, climate variances and moving mechanical equipment typically found in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment (office) is usually low, but much higher when exposed to the manufacturing areas. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to be present and walk through an active construction site in various weather conditions. Be able to follow and use specific job site safety equipment and procedures. Must be able to handle various company products such as steel products, tools, and construction chemicals while following proper safety guidelines established by the company. Ability to hear safety noises in the facility as well. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk; sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

Annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000, plus up to 10% annual bonus incentive. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Company considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
