As a Quality Technician at our Grand Junction, CO facility , you will provide essential technical support to the Quality Engineering team by performing inspections, driving defect resolution, supporting corrective action efforts, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You will help ensure our products meet customer and regulatory requirements through precise measurement, data analysis, and effective communication with production teams.
Location & Shift:On-site at our Grand Junction, CO facility
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
What Will You Do?- Inspect, measure, and test mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical components and assemblies.
- Support production by ensuring CMMs operate efficiently and performing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Conduct CMM inspections, surface plate measurements, and hard gage inspections.
- Maintain records of technical data related to materials, tools, fixtures, and processes.
- Perform in-process inspections and audits, logging results for later analysis.
- Verify material conformance to specifications; interpret company and industry requirements.
- Serve as the first point of contact for inspectors when defects or issues arise.
- Review defect samples and support the purge verification process.
- Collect and analyze quality data using statistical analysis methods.
- Support Quality Engineers with DA, ECN, and CAPA execution.
- Review nonconforming material and products.
- Maintain compliance with safety rules, health regulations, and company security policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to troubleshoot basic CMM errors using knowledge of GD&T and surface plate inspection.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively with employees and customers.
- Strong mathematical skills, including statistical concepts, geometry, trigonometry, and practical application of fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
- Ability to solve problems with limited standardization and interpret written, verbal, diagram, or schedule-based instructions.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma required.
- 1–3 years of related experience and/or training.
- Working knowledge of blueprints and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
