Your contribution

You will be responsible for the procurement of metals (such as Lead, Tin, Antimony, Arsenic) while ensuring the most efficient cost/quality/delivery ratio.

You will develop commodity strategies in close alignment with relevant stakeholders, translate these strategies into clear objectives and action plans, and drive their execution in line with business and corporate goals.

You will oversee all operational and advanced purchasing activities, ensuring full compliance with Clarios policies, objectives, and budget.

You will drive cost‑reduction initiatives to achieve corporate targets and identify the best long‑term value solutions for the business.

What you will do
  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies for metals suppliers (i.e. Lead (Pb), Tin, Antimony, Arsenic,etc.)
  • Develop, execute, and document a structured bidding process in accordance with corporate procurement guidelines and procedures.
  • Negotiate commercial terms (rates, volumes, etc.) and contract language in compliance with applicable regulations (including environmental and trade laws) to minimize organizational exposure.
  • Maintain consistent interaction with key regional stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Operations, Transportation) and communicate any changes in contract terms that affect direct material costs.
  • Continuously monitor industry macro trends, assess potential impacts on operations, and initiate actions to mitigate risks.
  • Analyze, track, and forecast market conditions and provide management with recommended actions.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and manage assigned supplier relationships to strengthen collaboration and build strategic partnerships.
  • Update and maintain direct material supplier metrics and scorecards, and develop action plans to address performance gaps.
  • Ensure adherence to and promotion of Clarios Procurement and Corporate Ethics Policies.
What makes you a good fitEducation

Commercial and/or technical education; Bachelor’s degree required

Professional Experience
  • Solid years of experience in Procurement, Sales, Program Management, or similar functions
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing processes and best practices
  • Market insight within the metals industry
Technical Skills
  • Advanced Category Management and Strategic Sourcing
  • Proficient negotiation skills
  • Strong supplier relationship management capabilities
  • Advanced analytics skills; proficiency in Excel and Power BI
  • Knowledge of European laws and regulations
  • Experience with e‑procurement systems and digital tools (e.g., Zycus) is an advantage
  • Experience working with ERP systems

Languages

Fluent English, German language skills are desirable
