Are you ready to take the lead in transforming operations? Carrier is on the lookout for a Modernisation Operations Manager UK&I to spearhead our Modernisation P&L and ensure the financial success of our Projects Business across the UK and Ireland.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee and drive the successful completion of modernisation activities within our organization. We’re seeking a visionary leader who can guide a talented team in managing complex projects aimed at upgrading and enhancing our systems, processes, and infrastructure. Your mission? To implement strategies that boost operational efficiency, leverage cutting-edge technologies, and deliver a world-class customer experience!

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement modernisation strategies that align with our organizational goals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a diverse team of project managers, technical staff, and subcontractors, providing guidance and development opportunities.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of modernisation projects, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across Sales and various departments for seamless implementation of initiatives.
  • Customer Focus: Deliver high-quality service and cultivate key strategic customer relationships.
  • Performance Tracking: Set benchmarks and monitor project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Financial Management: Monitor project expenditures, manage P&L, and report on financial performance, including accurate forecasting.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: Extensive experience in large-scale project management, particularly in modernisation or construction projects.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with previous team management experience.
  • Industry Knowledge: HVAC industry knowledge is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency: Familiarity with project management methodologies, software, and tools.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven capabilities in decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Multi-tasking: Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong budget management skills and understanding of industry standards.
  • Change Management: Experience in change management and process improvement.
