Pipefitter

Location: Glasgow – Govan and Scotstoun (On-site, with a recruitment day in Glasgow)

Salary: £38,662.00 (plus a potential 33% shift allowance)

As a Pipefitter, you will be at the heart of our operations, responsible for:

• Fabricating and installing pipework systems in various materials, including copper, cuni, carbon steel, and stainless steel.
• Utilizing hand tools and mechanical equipment to cut, bend, and weld pipes, ensuring precision in every installation.
• Installing essential utilities aboard ships, such as sinks, showers, and toilets.
• Assembling fittings, valves, and components according to detailed drawings and specifications.
• Collaborating with other trades to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.
• Adhering to safety regulations and company procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Keeping meticulous records of your work to ensure transparency and accountability.

Essential:

• Modern Apprenticeship certificate/Trade Papers (required upon application) and relevant qualifications (e.g., SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
• Current knowledge and hands-on experience in pipe manufacture and installation.
• Strong understanding of pipefitting techniques, tools, and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Clear understanding of SHE, COSHH, and Risk Assessments.
• Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within an industrial or commercial setting.

Desirable:

• Experience in marine pipefitting.
• Background in industrial or commercial environments.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Experience in TIG Pipe Welding.
