Join our dedicated logistics team as a Material Handler in the heart of Los Angeles, California. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse facility. Your duties will encompass receiving incoming goods, accurate storage of inventory, picking and preparing orders for shipment, and managing the overall flow of materials to support our supply chain operations. You will operate various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, ensuring safe and effective transport. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, and strict adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You should be a reliable team player with a strong work ethic and the physical capability to perform demanding tasks. Your role is crucial in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely order fulfillment for our clients. Responsibilities include: Receiving and verifying incoming inventory against purchase orders; Storing materials in designated warehouse locations, optimizing space utilization; Picking and preparing items accurately for outgoing shipments; Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently; Conducting regular inventory counts and cycle audits; Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment; Adhering to all company policies and safety guidelines, including the appropriate use of PPE; Supporting logistics staff with various tasks as needed. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting of items up to 60 lbs and prolonged periods of standing, walking, and operating machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely.
- Pick and stage materials for order fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure warehouse is clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use required PPE.
- Support the efficient flow of logistics operations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification and experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
