Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our inventory within our state-of-the-art logistics facility in Sacramento, California. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our stock levels are precise, enabling efficient order fulfillment and minimizing discrepancies. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory management procedures, utilizing technology to track stock movement, and conducting regular audits.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software to track stock levels, movements, and locations.
  • Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to ensure product freshness and reduce obsolescence.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate with receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping departments to ensure inventory accuracy throughout the logistics chain.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, including the use of PPE.
  • Assist with tasks that may involve the Lifting of inventory items during audits or investigations.
  • Train warehouse staff on inventory management procedures and best practices.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Proficiency with WMS and inventory control software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of inventory control techniques and best practices in a logistics setting.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and the ability to wear necessary PPE.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks including occasional Lifting of inventory items.
