We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our Huntsville, Alabama warehouse! This position is critical for the efficient movement of materials within our facility. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack inventory. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, operational efficiency, and maintaining a well-organized warehouse. Your expertise will directly contribute to our seamless logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) safely and efficiently to transport materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper securing of goods.
- Move inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and arrange materials in a systematic and safe manner.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow loading and unloading procedures accurately.
- Support general warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and material handling practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
