Seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to oversee daily operations in our Virginia Beach facility. This role is pivotal in managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our logistics hub. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in warehouse management. You will be instrumental in optimizing warehouse efficiency and maintaining a safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and training.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Coordinate the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of goods.
- Plan and schedule outbound shipments, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Implement and enforce warehouse safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage orders.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse coordination or supervision.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Strong knowledge of logistics principles and best practices.
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Must be comfortable wearing required PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
