The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future issues. You will work closely with the warehouse management team to monitor inventory flow, analyze stock data, and recommend improvements to inventory management processes. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a thorough understanding of inventory control principles within a logistics environment. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Track and manage stock levels, ensuring accuracy in the warehouse management system.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and other departments to ensure accurate inventory flow.
- Generate inventory reports for management.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse layout.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and WMS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Knowledge of logistics operations.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
