We are actively seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk for our San Francisco, California operations. This critical role is the first step in our supply chain, ensuring that all incoming goods are processed with precision and efficiency. You will be responsible for unloading shipments, verifying inventory against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and accurately logging all received items into our system. A strong commitment to accuracy, organization, and workplace safety is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all inbound shipments for quantity and condition.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders, packing slips, and other relevant documentation.
- Accurately record all received items into the inventory management system.
- Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages to appropriate personnel.
- Stock received goods in their designated locations within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely and proficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations and procedures, including the mandated use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal teams.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and audits as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or trade school coursework is a plus.
- Previous experience in warehouse receiving, inventory control, or logistics is required.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and RF scanning technology.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery (certification preferred).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to workplace safety and diligent use of all required PPE.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
