We have an immediate opening for a Receiving Clerk at our Miami, Florida facility. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, playing a crucial part in our logistics and inventory management process. Your responsibilities will include unloading deliveries, verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and accurately stocking received items. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to safety are key requirements for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document all discrepancies or damages found during the receiving process.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Stock received items in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and audits.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and RF scanners.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely (certification may be required or provided).
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
