We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Portland, Oregon. This role is crucial for the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, moving materials within the facility, and assisting with inventory management. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move and position materials.
- Load and unload trailers and trucks.
- Transport inventory to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Assist with order picking and staging of goods for shipment.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper scanning and system updates.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including wearing required PPE.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Support overall logistics and warehouse operations as directed.
- Follow company policies and procedures diligently.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Certification or demonstrated proficiency in forklift operation.
- Knowledge of safe material handling practices.
- Ability to perform significant lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours if needed.
