Become a vital part of our logistics network as a Material Handler in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This hands-on role is essential for the efficient movement of goods throughout our warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving, transporting, storing, and shipping materials using various equipment. A strong commitment to Safety and efficient workflow is paramount. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to operate material handling equipment safely. You will be moving products, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing inventory within the facility. This role involves frequent Lifting, often of heavy items, so a good level of physical fitness is necessary. You will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while on the warehouse floor. Collaboration with other team members, including supervisors and forklift operators, is key to maintaining a smooth and productive operation. Experience with pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other manual material handling tools is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials.
- Transport materials to designated areas using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment.
- Pick and pack orders accurately for shipment.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure materials are properly stored and accessible.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures, including proper Lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to perform frequent and strenuous Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle repetitive tasks.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Basic knowledge of material handling equipment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
