We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will implement and oversee processes that ensure precise stock levels, minimize discrepancies, and support efficient logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status, including potential shortages or overages.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Oversee the receiving and put-away process to ensure proper stock rotation and storage.
- Track and manage returned goods, ensuring they are correctly processed and returned to stock or dispositioned appropriately.
- Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to ensure smooth material flow.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure the safe handling of inventory.
- Ensure proper use of PPE during all inventory-related activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related logistics role is required.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 lbs, when necessary.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
