Are you detail-oriented and efficient? We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Dallas, Texas. This role is critical for ensuring that our products leave our facility accurately and on time, meeting the needs of our customers. You will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, verifying order details, and coordinating with carriers. A strong understanding of shipping procedures, accuracy in documentation, and a commitment to safety are essential. You will work closely with warehouse associates and management to maintain a smooth and efficient shipping process. We are looking for a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the overall success of our logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company standards and carrier requirements.
- Verify order accuracy against shipping documents before dispatch.
- Generate shipping labels and complete all necessary shipping paperwork.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Track shipments and communicate status updates as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Assist warehouse staff with loading and preparing shipments.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and online carrier portals.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
- Familiarity with safe lifting practices and warehouse safety protocols.
- Understanding of packaging materials and techniques.
- Basic knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Ability to perform tasks such as lifting and moving boxes.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
