We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a supervisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity. You will manage a team of warehouse associates, delegate tasks, provide training, and foster a positive work environment. Your leadership will directly impact the effectiveness of our logistics and distribution processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, inventory control, and safety procedures. You should be a natural leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, capable of motivating your team to achieve departmental goals. This position requires a commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff.
- Ensure efficient and accurate receiving, stocking, and shipping of goods.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Train and mentor new and existing warehouse personnel.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows for maximum efficiency.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Resolve operational issues and employee concerns promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software.
- Ability to develop and implement effective safety programs, including regular safety training and PPE enforcement.
- Experience with inventory control and management techniques.
- Ability to handle complex lifting requirements and direct staff in safe lifting practices.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
