We are hiring a Forklift Operator in vibrant Portland, Oregon! This is a key role within our warehouse operations, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods. You will operate various types of forklifts to load and unload trucks, transport materials within the facility, and assist with inventory management. Your expertise will ensure the smooth functioning of our Logistics processes, contributing directly to our supply chain efficiency. A strong dedication to Safety is paramount. You will be required to strictly adhere to all safety protocols, conduct daily equipment checks, and use the appropriate PPE at all times. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting of materials and operating machinery in a dynamic warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trailers efficiently and safely.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and order fulfillment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear designated PPE consistently and correctly.
- Perform tasks involving Lifting and material handling.
- Ensure the smooth flow of goods within our Logistics chain.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and Logistics .
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting .
- Strong understanding of Safety procedures and the importance of PPE .
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
