We are looking for a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our dynamic team in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from our warehouse inventory and expertly packing them for shipment to our valued customers. Success hinges on precision, efficiency, and an unwavering commitment to safety. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and on time. Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and pick products from warehouse shelves based on order documentation or scanner data.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure order accuracy and completeness.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and securely pack items to prevent damage during shipping.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by applying labels, creating necessary documentation, and staging orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, complying with all warehouse standards.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including the mandated use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, including cycle counts and stock put-away.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to meet daily picking and packing targets.
- Contribute to the overall smooth functioning of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a picking/packing role or general warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of accuracy.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all PPE guidelines.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics principles is beneficial.
