We are searching for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in San Diego, California. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to strict safety standards. You will manage a team of warehouse associates, coordinate logistics activities, optimize workflow, and maintain inventory integrity. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse management systems, and a proven track record in ensuring a safe working environment, including mandatory PPE usage. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, providing guidance and training.
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Implement and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and promoting a culture of safety.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and implement strategies to minimize discrepancies.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows for maximum efficiency and productivity in logistics.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety checks.
- Ensure the correct use of PPE by all team members and conduct regular safety audits.
- Develop and implement operational improvements to enhance service levels and reduce costs.
- Manage carrier relationships and coordinate outbound logistics.
- Handle employee scheduling, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Proven experience in leading and motivating teams.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics best practices.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, including PPE requirements and OSHA standards.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements and cost savings.
