We are looking for a dedicated Order Picker to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking items to fulfill customer orders. This is a vital position within our warehouse operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction. You will use a picklist or scanner to locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves and prepare them for packing and shipment. A keen eye for detail and the ability to work quickly and accurately are essential. We value safety above all else and expect all team members to follow strict safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE. This role offers a competitive wage and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret picklists or use a scanner to locate and retrieve items from warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick specified quantities of products for customer orders.
- Transport picked items to the packing station.
- Ensure all items picked match the order details to minimize errors.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Report any damaged or missing items to a supervisor immediately.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks, with individual items potentially weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Basic understanding of inventory systems.
- Strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to guidelines for PPE.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics is beneficial.
