Seeking a skilled Inventory Control Specialist for our Houston, Texas facility. This critical role is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, supporting seamless logistics operations. You will implement and manage robust inventory control procedures, conduct regular audits, and analyze data to identify and resolve discrepancies. Key responsibilities include managing cycle counts, performing physical inventory verification, tracking stock movement, and recommending process improvements. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles is required. You will play a vital role in ensuring stock accuracy, minimizing losses, and optimizing inventory levels for efficiency. Safety is paramount; adherence to all safety regulations and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent problem-solving skills. - Conduct daily cycle counts and investigate variances.
- Perform regular physical inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the WMS.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and suggest improvements.
- Develop and refine inventory control policies and procedures.
- Oversee the proper handling, storage, and rotation of inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and use of PPE.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
