Join our logistics team as a Receiving Clerk in Chicago, Illinois! We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual to manage the inbound flow of goods into our warehouse. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from the moment goods arrive. This role is essential to our supply chain operations, and a successful candidate will be proactive in identifying and resolving discrepancies. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying quantities against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and accurately documenting all received items into our inventory system. You will work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations. A commitment to safety is paramount, and adherence to all guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE, is mandatory. - Receive and unload incoming freight from various carriers.
- Verify product quantities and descriptions against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect shipments for damage and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Accurately document all received goods into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Stage received items for further processing or put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, and contribute to a culture of safety.
- Assist with other warehouse operations as needed.
