Join our logistics team in Washington, D.C. as a Picker/Packer! This role is fundamental to our daily operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently prepared for shipment. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for locating specified items within our warehouse, verifying their accuracy, and preparing them for dispatch. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and have a strong commitment to quality. You will work within a dynamic warehouse environment, contributing to the smooth functioning of our supply chain. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the logistics field.Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order lists.
- Pack items securely and efficiently to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify order details and product quantities for accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all Safety procedures.
- Use handheld scanners or other devices to track inventory movements.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization as directed.
- Follow all applicable Lifting guidelines for safe and effective handling of products.
- Wear and utilize all mandated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
- Report any damages or discrepancies to the supervisor immediately.
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and attention to detail. Capability to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior experience in picking and packing or a similar warehouse role is beneficial. Understanding of basic warehouse Safety and logistics operations.
