Join our logistics team in Huntsville, Alabama, as a Forklift Operator! We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious individual to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse, including loading, unloading, stacking, and transporting materials. Maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring the accuracy of inventory movements are paramount. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of safe operation, a good understanding of warehouse procedures, and a commitment to teamwork. - Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Transport inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on forklifts.
- Follow all Safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock placement.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of all material movements.
- Adhere to all Lifting guidelines and safe handling practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of our logistics department.
Valid forklift certification/license required. Previous experience as a Forklift Operator is essential. Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Strong understanding of material handling equipment and warehouse operations. Good communication and teamwork skills. Experience in a logistics environment is preferred.
