This dynamic role is crucial for ensuring accurate and efficient order fulfillment, directly impacting customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for picking items from inventory based on customer orders and then accurately and securely packing them for shipment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses the stamina to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities include using scanning equipment to locate and verify items, assembling orders accurately, and using appropriate packing materials to ensure goods are protected during transit. We emphasize a strong commitment to safety, and all employees are required to use appropriate PPE. Occasional lifting of packages is part of the job. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory using order sheets and scanning devices.
- Inspect items for quality and accuracy before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently using appropriate materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse environment.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy standards.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Perform tasks involving regular lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker or packer in a warehouse setting is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and labels accurately.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Team player with good communication skills.
