Junior Kitchen Manager (maternity cover)

About The Role

Are you ready to take your culinary career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant Restaurant & Quick Serve department in beautiful Bognor Regis. This is a fixed-term maternity cover role for 12 months, and we can’t wait to welcome you to our team!

As you report to the Senior Kitchen Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in running the kitchen and leading a dynamic team of up to 10 members per shift. At the heart of our values is the mission to make our guests smile, and you’ll ensure this happens consistently by keeping guests at the center of all operational decisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Resource planning and recruitment to build the best team for exceptional service.
• Monitoring guest experiences and developing action plans for continuous improvement.
• Managing food cost budgets through effective menu planning and cooking to standards.
• Ensuring compliance with food hygiene standards and health & safety regulations.

Typical working hours: This role is based on 40 hours per week, across 5 days out of 7, with a variety of shifts between 7am and 3am, depending on the restaurant's opening hours.

Key qualities we’re seeking:

• Energetic and enthusiastic team players who love to have fun.

• Confidence in leading a team to maintain high standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Additionally, you should have:

• A Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
• Experience managing margins and controlling costs.
• A strong understanding of health, safety, and hygiene practices.
