Join Our Team as a Jigsaw Pinner Nursery Room Leader!

Salary: £31,500 Per Annum

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, all year round.

Welcome to Jigsaw Pinner Day Nursery , a nurturing and vibrant environment located within the Pinner Free Church, just a stone's throw from Pinner Memorial Park and the West House & Health Robinson Museum. With our recent Good rating from Ofsted, we pride ourselves on providing a safe and stimulating space for children to learn and grow. Our nursery features three spacious classrooms and a large, all-weather outdoor area, complete with a nature garden for exploration and play.

We are on the lookout for a passionate Nursery Room Leader to join our dedicated team. If you have a love for early years education and a Level 3 Childcare Qualification, we want to hear from you! This full-time role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with flexible shifts between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Your Role as Room Leader

As a Room Leader, you will:

  • Create engaging and purposeful experiences for children that cater to their developmental needs.
  • Support the holistic development of children—physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally.
  • Assist staff in maintaining high-quality updates on the EyLog system and children's learning journals.
  • Lead by example, promoting respect and consistency within the team.
  • Implement an effective key person approach to foster secure attachments for children.
  • Maintain accurate records related to children and staff on the EyMan system.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor.
  • Understand and uphold the statutory framework for the EYFS.

What You Need to Succeed

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare qualification – Essential.
  • Over 1 year of experience working in Early Years – Essential.
  • Over 6 months of experience in a senior position – Desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations for achieving a Good or Outstanding rating – Desirable.
  • Understanding of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements – Essential.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English – Essential.
