Rockwell Collins Inc. d/b/a Collins Aerospace has an opening for a Senior Engineer, Software Engineering in Richardson, TX. This is a hybrid role; requires working on site in Richardson, Texas 3 days per week and can work remotely 2 days per week. Design and implement build procedures that are used to support hardware and software product development and use. Design, develop, document, test and design control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers in the planning, design, development and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determine end-user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition. Innovate, design, develop and implement technologies, components, sub-systems, machines, tools and systems to ensure compliance to specifications, requirements and customer guarantees across applicable operating conditions. Ensure hardware and software standards are met. Ensure novel ideas and implementation are captured and protected using applications IP processes and tools. Qualifications You Must Have
Must possess at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or related role. In the alternative, at least a master's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related role would be acceptable. Must possess at least 3 years of experience with Avionics embedded software development following DO-178B Design Assurance Level A processes. Must possess at least 3 years of experience with Avionics embedded Software Verification utilizing a LynxOS 178 or similar operating environment. Must possess at least 3 years of experience with Hardware Software integration on an Avionics platform utilizing a LynxOS 178 or similar operating environment. Must possess at least 3 years of experience writing Device driver and C library development in the LynxOS 178 or similar operating environment. Non-US Person - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company's immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position. The company will not seek an export authorization for this role. The salary range is $156,998.00 to $164,000.00 USD per year. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
