We also support security and cybersecurity needs across the company, in which physical products, tools, and initiatives can have impacts across world-wide usage. You will join a software development team that designs, re-factors, and maintains code for existing and upcoming features across one or more product lines while meeting a stringent set of standards for security design and testing. As updated standards are released they are deployed across a variety of products and must take into account a variety of competing constraints. Members will be expected to work as part of a team that works with and helps clarify requirements while continuously supporting development, integration, automation, and test of the final product through certification./ppThe day-to-day:/pulliCybersecurity software systems engineering/liliBe a part of an agile multidisciplinary development team/liliEmbedded systems software engineering/liliDesign, develop and integrate high speed scalable network software (protocols, device drivers, data plane)/li/ulpWhat youll need:/pulli10+ years experience using C/C++ in embedded environments/lili10+ years experience with network software design and development/lili7+ years experience with Linux OS use, ideally for an embedded environment/liliProven experience with Linux network stack and writing Linux kernel modules/liliDemonstrated experience with networking protocols (e.g.TCP/IP, IPSec, MACsec, TLS, etc.)/liliObject-oriented software development experience/liliAgile Scrum development experience/liliAbility to plan, track and report on progress/liliCI/CD software/liliBachelors Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience/liliUS Government position. US Citizenship required/liliActive DoD Secret Clearance/liliAbility to travel up to 10%/li/ulpWhat will help you on the job:/pulliExperience with DPDK, network applications/services and acceleration/liliExperience with Xilinx environment (Vivado, Petalinux)/liliFamiliarity with to bare metal embedded device drivers/liliExperience with microprocessors and embedded processors (NIOS, ARM, RISC-V, etc.)/liliExperience with multiple threads and real-time development/liliExperience with RESTConf interface design and implementation/liliExperience with Emulation Environments/liliExperience with Python/liliFamiliarity with to standalone embedded applications/liliExperience participating in multi-disciplinary teams/li/ulpSalary range $161,000.00 - $255,000.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $200,500.00- $300,500.00/ annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
