to lead the cloud design and delivery of a
hybrid cloud solution
leveraging
VMware infrastructure
and public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP). This role is critical in enabling a scalable, secure, and high-performance landscape that integrates on-premises systems with cloud-native services.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with enterprise architects, functional and technical teams, infrastructure engineers, and cloud service providers to ensure the solution meets business and technical requirements. The architect will also lead efforts in automation, infrastructure as code (IaC), and integration with monitoring, security, and identity management systems.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in,
cloud infrastructure

such as vSphere, NSX, and vSAN. Strong knowledge of hybrid cloud networking, security best practices, and compliance frameworks is essential.
This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills, as the Cloud Architect will serve as a technical advisor to stakeholders and ensure successful delivery in a mission-critical environment.
Responsibilities
Architecture Design & Planning - 30%
Lead the design of the hybrid cloud architecture, integrating VMware-based on-prem infrastructure with public cloud platforms. Define technical standards, deployment models, and scalability strategies.
Infrastructure Implementation - 25%
Oversee the deployment and configuration of the infrastructure needed for complex applications and systems and ensure that it meets performance needs
Hybrid Cloud Integration & Connectivity - 20%
Design and implement secure, high-performance connectivity between on-premises VMware environments and cloud services. Address networking, identity, and data flow requirements.
Security, Compliance & Governance - 15%
Ensure the architecture adheres to enterprise security policies and regulatory standards. Implement controls for access, encryption, monitoring, and compliance reporting.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Documentation - 10%
Work closely with enterprise architects, application teams, infrastructure engineers, and business stakeholders. Document architecture decisions, integration patterns, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
Must be a US Citizen able to pass a government background check in order to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
Minimum of 10 years of Engineering and Architecture Experience.
Experience working with the following in some capacity:
Cloud Architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Designing and implementing enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure and services (preferred Experience: 5-7 years)
VMware Technologies (vSphere, NSX, vSAN) Designing and managing virtualized infrastructure to support application workloads in hybrid environments (preferred Experience: 4-6 years)
Hybrid Cloud Integration Building and managing seamless connectivity between on-premises VMware environments and public cloud platforms (preferred Experience: 4-6 years)
Security & Compliance in Hybrid Environments Implementing secure architectures and ensuring compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, or NIST (preferred Experience: 4-6 years)
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation Using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or PowerCLI to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration (preferred Experience: 3-5 years)
Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) Applying structured methodologies to align IT architecture with business strategy and governance (preferred Experience: 3-5 years)
