By transforming traditional bureaucracy into a dynamic and flexible system, Esper fosters innovation and collaboration, enabling policymaking to be driven by data and insights./ph3Job Description/h3pEsper is seeking a Sales Development Manager to play a key role in our sales team, responsible for driving top-of-funnel pipeline growth through prospecting and lead generation. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, results-driven individual with a passion for public sector technology and sales. This role requires a strong ability to engage with government decision-makers, schedule high-quality product demonstrations, and generate qualified opportunities for Account Executives. The Sales Development Representative will report to the Head of Growth and work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop new business opportunities./ph3What Youll Do/h3ulliSupport 1-2 Account Executives by prospecting and scheduling product demos./liliIdentify and develop new business opportunities within assigned prospect lists and expand into ancillary jurisdiction types./liliQuickly develop a thorough knowledge of Espers products and how they address key challenges in government policymaking and operations./liliExecute outreach campaigns and sequences created by yourself or sales management./liliMaintain a high volume of daily prospecting calls (60+ calls per day) and emails to engage potential customers./liliEstablish credibility and rapport with prospects quickly to convert initial conversations into meaningful sales opportunities./liliMeet and exceed monthly quotas for scheduled demos and qualified opportunities./li/ulh3What Were Looking For/h3ulli0 - 1 year of experience working in sales, preferably within B2B SaaS or public sector technology./liliPassion for selling technology solutions that enhance government efficiency and policymaking./liliStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly./liliSelf-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment./liliCompetitive and driven to succeed, with a strong ability to handle objections and remain persistent./liliAbility to quickly learn and apply industry-specific terminology and product knowledge./liliExperience using Hubspot or a comparable CRM is a plus./liliBachelors degree in Business, Political Science, Finance, or a related field preferred./li/ulh3Location/h3pThis is a hybrid position open to candidates residing in Austin, TX, with a minimum in-office requirement of 3 days per week./ph3Compensation/h3pAnnual salary range: $45,000 - $50,000.
