The Department of Emergency Medicine has a unique opening for a multi-faceted, high impact, person to lead key activities for two critical initiatives: Clinical Pathways (Emergency Medicine) and Business Analytics Center of Excellence Project Manager (Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Virtual Urgent Care, and Research). An individual in this position will work need to work in a self-directed manner and must have excellent organizational skills to be successful. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with UCHealth providers, staff, faculty, as well as other teams, institutions and resources to lead our PMO in planning, organizing and delivering on all projects for the Business Analytics Center of Excellence. Design and implement best in class processes and techniques that deliver the highest quality projects that are on-time, on-budget and that delight our customers. Manage multiple projects and competing priorities within a complex and fast paced environment. Create, manage, and evolve our portfolio of clinical pathways within our emergency departments. Initiatives and Related Duties: Clinical Pathways (Emergency Medicine) initiatives (0.50 FTE) Lead and administer the Clinical Pathways program for the 10+ emergency departments across the UCHealth system. Work with medical directors, physicians, nurses and operational leadership to translate complex clinical processes into clinical pathways. Update the pathways, and interface with all operational clinical leaders. Manage pathway utilization and compliance, including the preparation and delivery of utilization reports. Business Analytics COE initiatives (0.50 FTE) Manage all aspects of project management for the Business Analytics Team across a variety of UCHealth service lines and CU School of Medicine, including: Emergency Department Service Line Urgent Care Service line Virtual Urgent Care Service Line SOM Emergency Department Finance Team SOM Emergency Department Research Provide project management skills (technical and soft skills) that effectively manage the Data Analytics Team. This includes: Successfully managing all current and future work (approximately 300 annual projects / work requests), which includes identifying project requirements, coordinating project design sessions, developing detailed project plans, identifying necessary resources and assuring that project due dates are met on-time and with high quality. Maintaining clear and frequent communications with all project requesters. Work directly with stakeholders on future projects. Leading analytic initiatives that drive a "Data Driven" organizational culture, improves stakeholder relationships, and keeps our services at the forefront of our stakeholder's minds. Work Location: Hybrid this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare, public administration, communications, information systems, systems engineering, industrial engineering or a directly related field from an accredited institution. Three (3) years of experience in project management and/or project coordination. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications: A Master's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. Certified in a Project Management framework, including CAPM, PMP, etc. Demonstrated experience utilizing project management methods and tools. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and/or other process improvement methodologies, concepts and tools. Previous experience working in a healthcare setting. Experience using Epic or another electronic health records software. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Working knowledge of statistics or data analytics. Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed manner to consistently meet deadlines. Self-starter with proven ability to organize and follow through multiple complex tasks and projects simultaneously. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to various situations. Excellent time management and organization skills. Strong customer service, team and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office including Teams, Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with Microsoft Visio preferred. Demonstrated statistical analysis skills. Ability to effectively explain processes and procedures. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects. Desire to work in a team environment. Ability to represent the University in a professional manner with tact and diplomacy. Anticipated Pay Range: The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE $78,810 - $100,247. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
